This shot was actually a result of trying to fill the time spent waiting to see Adelaide Zoo's new panda bears. The Tolkienesque shape of the leaves combined with the mystical light through the lush gardens of the zoo creates an element of fantasy had not anticpated. Since my first digital camera I have loved the simple effect of light illuminating the fascinating internal structure of leaves. This extremely simply recipee never ceases to capture my attention with an endless variety of shapes, tones, colours and structures.
