What I use
Here is a brief run down of what I'm currently using.
Pentax K5
First and foremost, my everyday shooter the Pentax K5. Its a few years old now, but perhaps a testament to how good it is, is the fact that I purchased this one new in the box after the next model had come out. Pentax will never have the enormous ecosystem around it like Canon or Nikon, but it does offer outstanding image and build quality in it's price bracket. The relatively small size of the K5 combined with it's sturdy all magnesium, fully weather sealed body make it the perfect take anywhere, do anything camera.
Along with the K20D below I have personally proved that this camera works beautifully from -20°C to +54°C, from 6% to 100% humidity, rain hail or shine.

Apple Retina Macbook Pro, 15 Inch, Late 2013
Ever since DSLRs allowed the capturing of beautiful, big RAW files computers have become an integral part of the process. For all my processing I have recently upgraded to a Retina Macbook Pro. It's 2880x1800 screen is amazing for viewing and editing photos in full detail.
